Founding Designer

About the role

You will shape how August looks, feels, and communicates across the app, the site, onboarding, and core workflow moments. This is a hands-on role for someone who can build systems, not just isolated screens, and who cares about clarity more than ornament.

What you'll do

• Own product, brand, and marketing design across August.
• Turn rough product and growth ideas into clean flows, interfaces, and launch assets.
• Build and evolve the design system as the product expands.
• Work tightly with engineering so shipped work feels deliberate, not approximate.

What we're looking for

• Strong product taste and sharp visual judgment.
• Experience designing within fast-moving startup constraints.
• Ability to move from concept to production-ready detail quickly.
• Comfort working across UX, visual design, and brand systems.
